St Michael and All Angels Church is in the village of Hawkshead, Cumbria.

It is an active Anglican parish church in the deanery of Windermere, the archdeaconry of Westmorland and Furness, and the diocese of Carlisle.

Standing over the village of Hawkshead this is quite an imposing sight as it is usually the first building that comes into sight as you approach the village. Definitely the stand out building in Hawhshead & a fine example of a local stone built church. Good views of Latterbarrow & surrounding fells from the churchyard as well.

This church is in a fine position, overlooking the village with a good view of the surrounding fells. It is open during the day for you to visit, have a look around, or sit and think or pray in silence. Anybody is also welcome to join us for one of our services.
